Ordering & Payment

Placing an order, payment methods, and account questions.
How do I place an order?
Browse our collections, add items to your cart, and check out using our secure checkout. You'll receive an order confirmation email immediately. No account required — but creating one lets you track orders and save your favorites.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. All transactions are secured with SSL encryption.
Can I cancel or modify my order?
If your order hasn't shipped yet, we can usually accommodate changes. Email us at hello@coastalstandard.com as soon as possible with your order number. Once an order is in transit, we can't modify it — but you can return it once delivered.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
Yes! Shop Pay offers installment payments on qualifying orders — split your purchase into 4 interest-free payments. The option appears automatically at checkout for eligible orders.

Shipping & Delivery

Delivery times, tracking, and what to expect when your order arrives.
How long does shipping take?
Most US orders arrive in 3–7 business days via standard ground shipping. Orders are processed within 1–2 business days before shipping. We currently ship within the United States only.
Is shipping free?
Yes — on all US orders over $50. Since most of our furniture is priced well above that, the vast majority of orders ship free. For orders under $50, standard shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight.
How do I track my order?
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your order ships. Click the link to follow your package in real time. You can also contact us with your order number for a status update.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping is something we’re working toward — check back soon or join our email list to be notified when it’s available.
What if my package is lost or delayed?
If your order hasn’t arrived within the expected delivery window, contact us within 30 days of your ship date and we’ll make it right — either a reship or a full refund, whichever you prefer. Reach us at hello@coastalstandard.com or through our contact page.

What our furniture is made of, how it holds up, and what to expect.
What is PE rattan/wicker? Is it real wicker?
PE (polyethylene) rattan is a synthetic alternative to natural wicker. It's hand-woven to look and feel like the real thing but is UV-resistant, waterproof, and won't crack, fade, or peel in the elements. It's the industry standard for outdoor wicker furniture — beautiful without the maintenance headaches of natural rattan.
Can your furniture stay outside year-round?
Most of our outdoor pieces are designed for year-round outdoor use. PE wicker, powder-coated steel, and acacia wood all handle rain, sun, and humidity well. That said, we recommend using furniture covers during harsh winter months or extended periods of non-use to maximize lifespan. Bringing cushions inside during storms or the off-season will keep them looking fresh longer.
Will outdoor furniture fade in the sun?
Our PE wicker is UV-treated to resist fading. Powder-coated metal frames hold their color well. Cushion fabrics are designed for outdoor use but may show slight fading over several seasons of direct sun exposure — this is normal and can be minimized with covers when not in use.
Is your furniture pet-friendly?
Most of it, yes. PE wicker is scratch-resistant and easy to wipe clean. Powder-coated steel frames hold up well to enthusiastic tails. For cushions, we'd recommend keeping an extra cover on hand. Avoid loose-weave fabrics if you have cats.
Do your products require assembly?
Most items require some assembly — typically attaching legs, connecting modular sections, or adding cushions. Assembly instructions and necessary hardware are included. Most pieces can be put together in 15–30 minutes with basic tools. Some smaller items (planters, decor, lighting) ship ready to use.
What's the weight capacity of your seating?
Weight capacities vary by product and are listed on each product page. Most of our outdoor sofas and chairs support 300–800+ lbs thanks to their powder-coated steel frames. Check the individual product specs for exact numbers.
Are the product photos accurate?
We do our best to represent colors and textures accurately, but slight variations may occur due to screen settings and photography lighting. Natural materials like acacia wood will have unique grain patterns — that's part of the beauty. If you're unsure about a color, reach out and we can provide additional photos.

Care & Maintenance

How to keep your furniture looking great season after season.
How do I clean PE wicker furniture?
Simple — mild soap and warm water with a soft brush or cloth. Rinse with a garden hose and let air dry. For stubborn spots, a mix of water and white vinegar works well. Avoid harsh chemicals or pressure washers, which can damage the weave.
How do I care for acacia wood furniture?
Acacia is naturally weather-resistant but will develop a silver-gray patina over time if left untreated (many people love this look). To maintain the original warm tone, apply teak oil or outdoor furniture oil once or twice a year. Clean with mild soap and water. Avoid leaving standing water on the surface.
How should I care for cushions?
Spot clean with mild soap and water. Most cushion covers can be removed and machine washed on a gentle cycle — check the care label. Store cushions indoors or in a dry storage bin during extended rain or the off-season. Standing them upright after rain helps them drain and dry faster.
Do I need furniture covers?
They're not required — our furniture is built for outdoor use. But covers will extend the life of your pieces, especially during winter or if you live in an area with heavy rain, salt air, or intense sun. Think of them as insurance for your investment.
How do I prevent rust on metal frames?
Our metal frames are powder-coated for rust resistance. To keep them in top shape: wipe down occasionally with a damp cloth, touch up any chips or scratches with outdoor paint, and avoid leaving them in standing water. In coastal areas, rinse off salt spray periodically.

What's your return policy?
30 days from delivery to return unused items in original packaging. Damaged or defective items get a full refund and we cover return shipping. Changed-your-mind returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee and you cover shipping. Items marked "Final Sale" are non-returnable.
What if my item arrives damaged?
Take photos of the damage (product and packaging) within 48 hours and email them to hello@coastalstandard.com with your order number. We'll respond within 24 hours with a replacement or full refund — your choice. We cover return shipping for all damage claims.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive the returned item. The money goes back to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 3–5 days to appear on your statement.
