A single-seat egg chair that hangs from its own metal frame, wrapped in tightly woven rattan for a relaxed, coastal look. The rounded cradle wraps around you, so settling in feels like the easiest part of the afternoon. Set it on the patio or pull it into a bright corner indoors.
What Makes It Special
- Woven rattan shell — Tightly hand-woven rattan forms the rounded cradle, with a texture that reads warm and natural in any setting.
- Freestanding metal frame — The included stand holds the chair steady on its own, so you can place it anywhere without hardware or ceiling anchors.
- Gentle swing — The hanging design gives an easy back-and-forth motion that makes it a natural spot to slow down.
- Indoor or out — At home on a covered patio, a porch, or a sunny reading corner inside.
- Cradling single seat — The deep, rounded shape wraps around one person for full, settled-in support.

Wicker & Rattan Frame
- Rinse with a garden hose to remove dust and pollen. For deeper cleaning, use warm water with a few drops of dish soap and a soft brush.
- Avoid pressure washers — they can damage the weave.
- PE rattan is UV-resistant but will last longest under a covered patio or with a furniture cover during extended rain.
- Inspect weave annually for any loose strands and press back into place while warm.
Steel Frame
- Powder-coated finish resists rust, but wipe down periodically with a dry cloth to remove salt air residue.
- If you notice any chips or scratches in the coating, touch up with an outdoor metal paint to prevent rust.
- Check bolt connections once per season and tighten as needed.
Following these care guidelines will help your Coastal Standard furniture look beautiful for years to come.
Hand-woven rattan
The shell is woven by hand over its curved form, giving the chair its texture and a look that suits coastal and casual rooms alike.
Self-supporting stand
A metal frame carries the full weight of the chair, so it stands on its own without drilling or overhead mounting.
Swing that settles you
Suspended from a single point, the seat sways gently underfoot and holds you in a cradled, reclined position.
