A woven rattan shell suspended on a steel stand, this egg chair carries the easy rhythm of a slow afternoon. The open weave dapples the light and catches any breeze, while deep cushions settle you in for the long haul.
What Makes It Special
- Open rattan weave — The earthy, organic weave filters sunlight and lets cool air move through, so the seat stays comfortable in warm weather.
- Gentle floating rock — A high-tensile spring gives that suspended, lighter-than-air sway while the frame holds you steady and secure.
- Cushions that cradle — Generous, soft cushions wrap around your back and sides for support you can sink into and stay a while.
- Industrial-strength stand — Built from heavy-gauge steel, the base provides a stable platform rated for everyday outdoor use.
- Ready for the weather — UV- and water-resistant cushions shrug off sun and light rain, holding their color and comfort season after season.

Wicker & Rattan Frame
- Rinse with a garden hose to remove dust and pollen. For deeper cleaning, use warm water with a few drops of dish soap and a soft brush.
- Avoid pressure washers — they can damage the weave.
- PE rattan is UV-resistant but will last longest under a covered patio or with a furniture cover during extended rain.
- Inspect weave annually for any loose strands and press back into place while warm.
Cushions & Fabric
- Unzip and remove cushion covers for machine washing on a gentle cycle. Air dry only — do not tumble dry.
- Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth. For stubborn stains, spot-treat with mild soap before washing.
- Stand cushions on edge after rain to allow water to drain and air to circulate.
- Store cushions indoors or in a deck box during extended periods of rain, snow, or off-season.
Steel Frame
- Powder-coated finish resists rust, but wipe down periodically with a dry cloth to remove salt air residue.
- If you notice any chips or scratches in the coating, touch up with an outdoor metal paint to prevent rust.
- Check bolt connections once per season and tighten as needed.
Following these care guidelines will help your Coastal Standard furniture look beautiful for years to come.
Suspended comfort, grounded stability
The steel frame and high-tensile spring pair a genuine floating sensation with a base that stays planted, so you get the sway without the wobble.
