Naïve Bench
Cut from solid wood and finished to last, the Naïve Bench earns its place wherever you put it. Choose your size and your finish — padded in one of eight colors, or left clean in oiled ash or matte black — and it arrives ready to work with what you already have. Straightforward to assemble and at home in a garden, an entryway, or a living room.
What Makes It Special
- Solid wood throughout — Genuine wood construction delivers lasting strength and a natural warmth that improves with age — no hollow cores, no shortcuts.
- Two sizes to choose from — Both options carry the same clean proportions; pick the scale that fits your space.
- Eight cushion colors — Padded seats come in the same eight colors as the Naïve Low Chair, so the collection coordinates naturally.
- Clean unpadded finish — Without padding, the bench finishes in oiled ash or matte black — spare, considered, and easy to place anywhere.
- Genuinely easy to assemble — Hardware and clear instructions are included; it comes together without a dedicated afternoon.

Cushions & Fabric
- Unzip and remove cushion covers for machine washing on a gentle cycle. Air dry only — do not tumble dry.
- Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth. For stubborn stains, spot-treat with mild soap before washing.
- Stand cushions on edge after rain to allow water to drain and air to circulate.
- Store cushions indoors or in a deck box during extended periods of rain, snow, or off-season.
Wood Care
- Clean with mild soap and warm water. Scrub gently along the grain with a soft bristle brush.
- Apply teak oil or wood sealant once or twice a year to maintain the warm golden color.
- If left untreated, the wood will naturally weather to a beautiful silver-gray patina — this is normal and does not affect durability.
- Sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper before re-oiling to restore the original finish.
Following these care guidelines will help your Coastal Standard furniture look beautiful for years to come.
Wood that earns its keep
Solid wood construction gives the Naïve Bench real weight and warmth. The surface takes wear well and only improves with time.
Made to configure to you
Two sizes plus the choice of padded or unpadded seat means this bench fits your space rather than the other way around. Padding lands in eight colors; unpadded finishes in oiled ash or black.
Part of a considered family
The Naïve Bench belongs to a collection designed to live together. Pair it with the Naïve Low Chair or let it stand alone — the proportions hold either way.
