The Naïve Low Chair makes its case quietly — a broad leather strap holds the backrest to the frame, creating a connection that is as structural as it is striking. Built from solid wood and natural textiles, it is the kind of chair that settles into a room rather than demanding attention. Flat-pack construction means it ships and stores cleanly, then lives exactly where you put it.
What Makes It Special
- Solid wood frame — Natural hardwood construction built to hold its shape and finish through years of daily use.
- Signature leather strap — A broad leather strap joins the backrest to the body — functional hardware that also defines the chair's look.
- Relaxed low profile — A lower seat height invites a longer sit — suited for reading, a slow cup of coffee, or an unhurried evening.
- Flat-pack design — The body unscrews and packs flat for straightforward shipping, moving, or compact storage.
- Natural materials throughout — Wood, leather, and textile — no synthetic substitutes, chosen to age well and coordinate with any backdrop.

Wood Care
- Clean with mild soap and warm water. Scrub gently along the grain with a soft bristle brush.
- Apply teak oil or wood sealant once or twice a year to maintain the warm golden color.
- If left untreated, the wood will naturally weather to a beautiful silver-gray patina — this is normal and does not affect durability.
- Sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper before re-oiling to restore the original finish.
General Care
- Clean regularly with mild soap and warm water.
- Cover or store during extreme weather to extend lifespan.
- Inspect hardware connections seasonally and tighten as needed.
Following these care guidelines will help your Coastal Standard furniture look beautiful for years to come.
Leather Strap Connection
The backrest attaches to the frame via a wide leather strap — a detail that carries structural load while giving the chair its most recognizable visual line.
Flat-Pack Construction
The frame unscrews into flat components for clean shipping and easy reassembly, without any compromise to the rigidity of the finished chair.
Natural Material Mix
Solid wood, leather, and textile work together without any single material overwhelming the others — a composition that holds up visually and physically over time.
