Part rocker, part nest, the Papasan settles you into a deep bowl of high-resilience cotton fill wrapped in soft olive green cotton-linen. A handwoven rattan frame and matching head pillow give it a relaxed coastal ease, whether it lands on the porch or in a quiet corner indoors.
What Makes It Special
- Handwoven Rattan — A rattan-over-metal frame carries a woven head pillow for natural texture and lasting structure.
- Full-Body Cushion — Thick high-resilience cotton fill contours to your body so muscle tension eases the moment you sink in.
- Gentle Rocker — A smooth rocking motion turns the oversized bowl seat into an easy spot to unwind.
- Porch or Den — Works equally well on a balcony or porch and in a primary living space indoors.
- Roomy Proportions — At just under 40 inches, the seat gives you space to curl up sideways or stretch out.

Wicker & Rattan Frame
- Rinse with a garden hose to remove dust and pollen. For deeper cleaning, use warm water with a few drops of dish soap and a soft brush.
- Avoid pressure washers — they can damage the weave.
- PE rattan is UV-resistant but will last longest under a covered patio or with a furniture cover during extended rain.
- Inspect weave annually for any loose strands and press back into place while warm.
Cushions & Fabric
- Unzip and remove cushion covers for machine washing on a gentle cycle. Air dry only — do not tumble dry.
- Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth. For stubborn stains, spot-treat with mild soap before washing.
- Stand cushions on edge after rain to allow water to drain and air to circulate.
- Store cushions indoors or in a deck box during extended periods of rain, snow, or off-season.
Steel Frame
- Powder-coated finish resists rust, but wipe down periodically with a dry cloth to remove salt air residue.
- If you notice any chips or scratches in the coating, touch up with an outdoor metal paint to prevent rust.
- Check bolt connections once per season and tighten as needed.
Following these care guidelines will help your Coastal Standard furniture look beautiful for years to come.
A Seat You Sink Into
The papasan bowl cradles you from every angle with plush cotton fill and a soft cotton-linen cover. It is made for long, slow afternoons rather than quick sit-downs.
Natural Coastal Texture
Handwoven rattan and an olive green palette bring an organic, easygoing look. The woven head pillow adds a finishing detail that feels handcrafted.
Easy to Live With
The tufted back and solid green cushion suit both covered outdoor spaces and indoor rooms. Spot dry clean the cover to keep it looking fresh through the seasons.
