Steel Frame
- Powder-coated finish resists rust, but wipe down periodically with a dry cloth to remove salt air residue.
- If you notice any chips or scratches in the coating, touch up with an outdoor metal paint to prevent rust.
- Check bolt connections once per season and tighten as needed.
Wood Care
- Clean with mild soap and warm water. Scrub gently along the grain with a soft bristle brush.
- Apply teak oil or wood sealant once or twice a year to maintain the warm golden color.
- If left untreated, the wood will naturally weather to a beautiful silver-gray patina — this is normal and does not affect durability.
- Sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper before re-oiling to restore the original finish.
General Care
- Clean regularly with mild soap and warm water.
- Cover or store during extreme weather to extend lifespan.
- Inspect hardware connections seasonally and tighten as needed.
Following these care guidelines will help your Coastal Standard furniture look beautiful for years to come.
Solid Fir Wood Construction
The bench is made from fir wood, a sturdy softwood that holds a clean line and a comfortable seat. A water-sealing paint finish helps it shed moisture and hold its color through the seasons.
Comfort In The Details
A high backrest and wide 3.5-inch armrests make longer sits easy, whether you are reading or talking through the evening. The 46-inch seat leaves plenty of room for two to settle in.
Ready To Hang
Four heavy-duty metal chains are included and rated to a 440-pound maximum load. Assembly is required, and the manual walks you through hanging it from your beam or frame.
