Two-Story Wooden Cat House with Balcony and Canopy
- Usually ships by Nov 14 – Nov 18
This two-story wooden cat shelter brings real architectural detail to the patio or garden — a transparent canopy, open upper balcony, and a sealed asphalt roof that handles the elements without fuss. The elevated base keeps cats off cold or damp ground while the spacious interior gives them room to move, rest, and retreat on their own terms. Finished in a clean grey and white palette, it sits comfortably alongside any well-kept outdoor living space.
What Makes It Special
- Weatherproof Construction — Weather-treated fir wood and a sealed asphalt roof resist moisture and sun exposure, keeping the structure sound season after season.
- Open-Air Balcony — A generous second-story balcony and transparent canopy let cats enjoy natural light and fresh air while staying sheltered from wind and rain.
- Elevated Foundation — The raised base promotes airflow beneath the house and protects cats from ground chill and wet ground conditions.
- Easy to Maintain — An openable roof and removable floor panel give straightforward access for cleaning without disassembling the unit.
- Indoor or Outdoor Use — Built for patios and gardens, it transitions just as easily to a sunroom, living room, or covered entryway.

Wood Care
- Clean with mild soap and warm water. Scrub gently along the grain with a soft bristle brush.
- Apply teak oil or wood sealant once or twice a year to maintain the warm golden color.
- If left untreated, the wood will naturally weather to a beautiful silver-gray patina — this is normal and does not affect durability.
- Sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper before re-oiling to restore the original finish.
General Care
- Clean regularly with mild soap and warm water.
- Cover or store during extreme weather to extend lifespan.
- Inspect hardware connections seasonally and tighten as needed.
Following these care guidelines will help your Coastal Standard furniture look beautiful for years to come.
Built from Weather-Treated Fir Wood
The frame is constructed from non-toxic, weather-treated fir — a dense, stable hardwood that resists warping and moisture without requiring sealants or annual refinishing. The asphalt roof adds a second layer of protection, shedding rain and blocking UV. Together, they make a structure that holds up across seasons with minimal upkeep.
A Two-Story Design Cats Actually Use
The lower level offers a quiet, enclosed retreat for sleeping or sheltering from wind, while the upper balcony functions as an open lounge for sunbathing or watching the yard. A double-door layout gives cats multiple exit points, which reduces territorial stress in multi-cat households. The transparent canopy keeps the upper level bright without exposing cats to direct rain or harsh afternoon sun.
Designed for Easy Access and Cleaning
The hinged, openable roof swings back to expose the interior fully — no reaching or awkward angles required for cleaning or health checks. The removable floor panel lifts out for thorough wiping or replacement. Both features keep routine maintenance quick and unobtrusive.
