Option 1: For those with care and foresight
If you like to take good care of your equipment, here are our recommendations for maximizing the life of your rack:
- In winter: Unscrew each nut with a turn of the wrench to prevent the swelling effect of humidity and cold.
- Prevention: Do not leave the feet of the support directly on the ground during winter.
- Wood protection: Apply a woodstain or saturator in the first year. Reapply a maintenance coat every three years.
- Winter position: Raise the uprights to avoid prolonged exposure to the elements.

Option 2: For busy people
If your schedule doesn't allow you to devote much time to maintenance:
- Your surface will take on a natural grey patina in the second year if it is neither stained nor saturated.
- With minimal maintenance, such as unscrewing each nut at the start of winter and raising the uprights, your stand will still last between 7 and 10 years.

Wood Care
- Clean with mild soap and warm water. Scrub gently along the grain with a soft bristle brush.
- Apply teak oil or wood sealant once or twice a year to maintain the warm golden color.

- Sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper before re-oiling to restore the original finish.
